Herb-Rubbed Roasted Turkey

Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey (10-12 pounds), skin removed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tsp thyme, chopped
  • 2 tsp sage, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, rosemary, thyme, sage, garlic, salt, and pepper to make the herb rub.
  3. Rub the herb mixture over the turkey evenly.
  4. Roast the turkey in the oven, following the time based on weight (approximately 15-20 minutes per pound), until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Let the turkey rest for 15 minutes before carving.
